One of the recent projects we’re most proud of is our work creating a memorial garden in the heart of Durham.

Thanks to our fleet of waste removal trucks and skills in outdoor work, we were able to help carry out a lot of the tasks needed to transform an unloved wasteland into a stunning outdoor memorial.

Our work included:

  •  The project idea was designed and hand-drawn by our team and presented to the customer.
  • The overgrown wasteland was cleared, removing shrubs, trees and weeds.
  • Several tonnes of green waste were removed and recycled.
  • To protect the garden, 200ft of new fencing between 6ft & 3ft along with an oversized 4x3m pergola.
  • A raj blend sandstone paved area walkway was installed.
  • To prepare the ground, 20 tonnes of topsoil was delivered, and the area was evened out.
  • Then, 160sqm of fresh turf was laid, leaving areas for shrubs and flowers.
  • Finishing off with a stone sundial and 4 hardwood benches.

The area provides this close-knit community in Durham with an area where they can get together to remember loved ones or simply just to catch-up. It’s a great use of the space and Invita is proud to have worked alongside local landscapers to complete the project.

This is just the first of many projects within the local community we’re looking forward to supporting over the years to come. Keep following us on social media to see more great community projects.
