Characteristics
Moles are small insectivores that live mostly underground and are rarely seen by humans. They have dark brown fur, large front claws with 6 finger-like protrusions and compact bodies. Their faces have pinkish snouts, small ears and black eyes that are often closed, as moles are mostly blind.
