What do moles eat?
Moles primarily eat earthworms, spiders, grubs and other species that can end up within their tunnel networks. They’ve also been known to eat small animals. As moles spend most of their waking hours digging, they’re a very active creature. Due to this, they consume a large amount of food to keep themselves fuelled. Understanding this is important to understanding the reasons behind a mole infestation. They don’t target specific types of grass or certain areas, they’re simply attracted to areas that they know are sources of food. Damage such as burrow systems and molehills created by moles are a result of their foraging for food.
